Exhibition, Světce Riding Hall, Tachov
A project of an unconventionally conceived exhibition in the renovated building of the riding school in Světce near Tachov. It took several decades to save this gem of architecture, which was built by Prince Windischgrätz at the end of the 19th century. The members of the team of Ateliér arch. Soukupa (Architect Soukup Studio), who participated in the project to save the complex, are also the authors of this exhibition project. The museum presentations take advantage of the structured spaces and are designed as period rooms for guests and staff on the upper floor. The central space of the ground floor involves the riding hall with a high ceiling and wall panelling, as adapted based on historical plans. The stables on the ground floor on the left bring visitors closer to an authentic atmosphere with life-size horses, riders in period costumes, and full stables equipment. The part on the left is dedicated to local natural settings, herbalism and relaxation. The exhibition includes a replica of an old pharmacy and a tea corner with seating. The space is animated by sounds and screening, games for children and large-scale infographics. There is also a multifunctional hall to hold presentations, seminars and workshops, equipped with AV technology.
